I Don’t Make Any Money from Side Hustles

But 2022 is going to be a year of change.

This is embarrassing to admit, but I’ve been trying to make money online for quite a few years now.

And I’ve had very little success.

This could be a couple of reasons. I’m not choosing the right niche. Or maybe I’m not dedicating the right amount of time. Or maybe I’m spreading myself too thin over all of the social media platforms that I participate in.

I think all of those reasons contribute to why I haven’t found success yet. Which is why in 2022 I’m formulating an action plan to help me clarify my online brand and help me achieve my goal of making an extra $2,000 a month through side hustles.

Define What I Want to Do

I’ve tried so many different things over the years. Self Publishing. Writing on Medium. Etsy. Youtube. Blogging. And more.

But you can’t commit the same amount of time to everything. There just aren’t enough hours in the day, especially when you have a full time office job like I do. So I’m going to narrow it down and figure out what I really want to do.

Manage my Time Better

Once I narrow down my list of possible side hustles, it will be easier to schedule out blocks of time to to work on each thing. I try to work on something business related every day and by dedicating different days (or to be realistic, different evenings) to different things, I’ll be able to hopefully get more done.

Differentiate between Side Hustle and Hobby

Not everything needs to make money. It’s important to make the differentiation between a side hustle and a hobby. Sometimes I get caught up on work and I forget to do the things I really love.

The things that help me relax.

Blogging? That’s part of my side hustle. I love to write and share things with the internet.

But reading?

That’s just for me.
